Baptism

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit -Matthew 28:19

Why do I need Baptism?

After a person repents of their sin and puts their faith in Christ, Scripture shows us that baptism is the next step in their faith walk. Baptism is the act of being immersed in water as a public confession of faith in Jesus Christ. It’s a time for the believer to show that they have been saved, and to tell the church about the miracle that has happened in their lives.

It also serves as an awesome symbol, both showing how one is cleansed from sin and displaying Christ’s death and resurrection in being buried underwater and raised up from the water just as Christ was raised from the dead. Baptism does not in any way have saving power, but is commanded by Christ as a step of obedience after salvation. (Matthew 28:18-20).
